All fees must be paid prior to or at the conclusion of your session unless other arrangements have been made with your therapist. E-transfer, cheque, and cash are all accepted forms of payment. Credit cards can only be used through the Jane booking platform and are the responsibility of the client to manage.
Provincial health insurance programs currently do not cover fees for psychologists in private practice. Most clients are pleased to discover they have coverage for psychological services through their extended medical plans. Clients are responsible for determining if their extended medical insurance plan will reimburse for fees.
For your convenience, Piers & Associates offers direct billing through Veterans Affairs Canada, Canadian Armed Forces, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, WCB NS, Medavie Blue Cross, and any other cooperating provider. Should your insurance provider not permit direct billing, you will be provided with a receipt for reimbursement from your extended medical insurance plan. Fees not covered by extended medical insurance plans may represent tax-deductible medical expenses.
Please note: Not all therapists may be covered by your insurance. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider to confirm what coverage you have before proceeding.
